(US) Makawanpur District Chair Shreedhar Pokharel was welcomed to CPN-UML by party Chair KP Oli at a programme in Kathmandu yesterday
Claiming that the party was in for a bad position following the election, he, along with his secretariat members, had declared leaving the
party on Wednesday.
Speaking at a programme in Hetauda today after returning to UML, Pokharel described CPN (US) as a
tagalong to Nepali Congress party
"Apparently, country's prosperity isn't possible from CPN (US); if the party has any agenda, it's only to weaken and obliterate UML, which
is the mainstream communist party in our country," he said, while addressing UML's election publicity campaign in Hetauda today."The
so-called electoral alliance among the ruling parties is unholy and was contrived to weaken the grand communist movement in Nepal, which is
why I had to decide to quit the party," Shreedhar Pokharel said, adding he was happy to return to the mother party
Meanwhile, after Pokharel's defection, Suryachandra Neupane has been appointed as the Makawanpur district chair for CPN (US).A version of
