Korean Alpine Federation appoints Ngawa Ngima Sherpa as International Liaison Director for Nepal

entrepreneur, has been appointed as the Korean Alpine Federation's International Liaison Director for Nepal.

international liaison director during a ceremony held this week in Seoul, Korea's capital, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the
federation
The award was presented to Sherpa by Dr Son Jung Ho, President of the Korean Alpine Federation. Although Sherpa was choosen
to be the director of the liasion office during the presidency of Moon Jae-in, he was only sworn in two years later owing to the Covid-19
epidemic, NTB said in a statement.Sherpa, who has been working with Korean tourists and mountaineers since 1995, would now be in charge of
coordinating and liaising with Korean mountaineers visiting Nepal.Sherpa stated that the duty and honour conferred by the Korean government
belonged to all Nepalis
He also stated that he will do all in his power to bring Korean visitors to Nepal
The Deijon Municipality of Korea recognized Sherpa for his excellent efforts in serving and assisting Korean people in Nepal.The procedure
for Korean climbers seeking to scale mountains in Nepal begins only after gaining authorisation from the liaison office
Similarly, the Nepali team will also have to coordinate with the office while travelling to Korea for sports activities.The Korean Alpine
Federation is the government agency in charge of authorising most of the Korean government's sports and mountaineering activities.Sherpa,
who also runs Sora Travels and Tours and Seoul Jeeb Korean Restaurant, which caters to Korean visitors, has been coordinating with
high-level delegations from Korea visiting Nepal
Similarly, Sherpa, who is also the director of Sora Adventure Treks -Expeditions, has served as Seoul National University's Nepal
representative since 2019.The Sherpa and his wife, Rajeshwari Sherpa, were also honoured at the same occasion.
