Nepal records nine COVID-19 cases on Monday

KATHMANDU, MAY 02The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has
reached to 211 on Monday as eight people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

Saturday The latest reported number of infections
carried the nationwide tally to 978,836 while the death toll remains at 11,951 as no fatalities were recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 966,674 with 18 discharges logged today.As per the latest data provided by the health
ministry, a total of 4,255 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 3,333 were PCR tests while 922 were antigen tests
With this, a total of 5,642,144 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests confirmed one positive case in the past
24 hours.Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.Currently, there are 106 individuals in
various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
