Nepal records 17 COVID-19 cases on Sunday

KATHMANDU, MAY 08The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has
reached to 201 on Sunday as 17 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide
tally to 978,942 while the death toll remains at 11,952 as no fatalities were recorded today. Meanwhile, the total
coronavirus recoveries stand at 966,789 with 21 discharges logged today.As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of
4,010 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 2,905 were PCR tests while 1,105 were antigen tests
With this, a total of 5,655,172 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests confirmed no positive cases in the past
24 hours.Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.Currently, there are 106 individuals in
various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
