President who is away from the country contacted me by phone, and stated that he will resign from the presidency as he stated before
He also added that the relevant resignation letter will be handed over to me officially, within today itself.”“Accordingly, the
procedure we have planned within the Parliament will end by electing a new President on the 20th of July
So, I request the public not to have any doubt on the matter, and to act peacefully,” he said.
