Stock exchange update: Nearly 350 stocks struck 52-week short on NSE

NEW DELHI: As many as 340 stocks, including PVR, Tata Steel, UPL, Vedanta and Videocon Industries hit 52-week lows on NSE on
Thursday. Aditya Birla Capital, Bharat Dynamics, BEML, Engineers India, Godfrey Phillips India, Greenply Industries, Indiabulls Real Estate,
INOX Leisure, Jet Airways (India), Mangalam Cement, Manpasand Beverages, NMDC, PC Jeweller and PTC India too featured among stocks that
touched 52-week lows on NSE. Equity benchmarks Nifty and Sensex closed lower on Thursday on losses in heavyweights including Kotak Mahindra
Bank and Larsen Toubro as investors remained jittery in the run-up to the no-confidence motion against the Modi government
Sensex slipped by 22 points, or 0.06 per cent, ending at 36,351
The index saw 18 stocks advancing and while 13 declining
The Nifty50 fell 23 points, or 0.21 per cent, settling at 10,957
As many as 21 stocks finished in the green in the index, but 28 ended up in the red and one remained unchanged. Among the sectoral indices
on NSE, barring FMCG and PSU bank, all closed the day in the red. Hindalco Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Larsen Toubro, Cipla, Dr
Reddy's Laboratories and Hero MotoCorp settled as the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
