Stock market update: Midcaps fall in sync with Sensex; Rajesh Exports, SAIL among top losers

NEW DELHI: In line with the benchmark Sensex, the BSE Midcap index was trading in the negative territory in afternoon trade on
Thursday. Around 2:15 pm, the midcap index was 0.22 per cent down at 16,206, while the Sensex was 0.26 per cent down at 37,752
The NSE Nifty50 was 0.29 per cent down at 11,401 around the same time
Shares of Vakrangee (up 8.33 per cent), Tata Chemicals (up 3.98 per cent), United Breweries (up 3.57 per cent), IDBI Bank (up 3.32 per
cent) and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (up 3.04 per cent) were among the top gainers in the midcap index
On the other hand, Rajesh Exports (down 4.11 per cent), Piramal Enterprises (down 4.03 per cent), Jindal Steel Power (down 3.96 per cent),
NLC India (down 3.47 per cent) and Steel Authority of India (SAIL) (down 3.43 per cent) were among the top losers in the index around the
same time
