per cent), Tejas Networks (down 2.25 per cent), Vindhya Telelinks (down 2.07 per cent) and GTL (down 2.05 per cent) were the top losers in
Aksh Optifibre (down 2.01 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 1.08 per cent), Sterlite Technologies (down 0.89 per cent) and Tata
Communications (down 0.81 per cent) were also among the losers
However, ITI (up 7.85 per cent), GTPL Hathway (up 4.01 per cent), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 2.33 per cent), Reliance Communications (up
1.33 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (up 0.65 per cent) were in the green around that time
Benchmark BSE Sensex was up 86 points at 38,372, while the NSE Nifty50 index was up 19 points at 11,590.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty
index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red
In the Sensex kitty, 14 stocks were advancing, while 17 were declining.
Tata Motors, Vedanta and Tata Steel were among the top losers in
Larsen Toubro, NTPC and Reliance Industries were among the top gainers in the Sensex pack of stocks.
