JSW Steel replaces Lupin in Nifty rejig; 9 stocks thrown out of Nifty Midcap 100 index

NEW DELHI: NSE Indices on Tuesday announced a minor rejig in the benchmark Nifty50 index by replacing pharma stock Lupin with JSW Steel
from September 28, 2018. The index provider also announced that it will be replacing nine stocks in the Nifty Midcap 100 index. The stocks
to be excluded are AIA Engineering, Biocon, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, IDFC, Indiabulls Real Estate, IRB Infrastructure Developers,
Karur Vysya Bank, Suzlon Energy, Wockhardt. These nine will be replaced by Avanti Feeds, Cummins India, Escorts, Graphite India, HEG, Larsen
Toubro Infotech, Power Finance Corporation, Punjab National Bank and Rural Electrification Corporation. No changes were made to Nifty Auto,
Nifty Bank, Nifty FMCG, Nifty IT, Nifty Metal, Nifty Pharma, Nifty Private Bank, Nifty Energy, Nifty Infrastructure, Nifty Aditya Birla
group, Nifty Mahindra Group, Nifty Tata group and Nifty Tata group 25% Cap indices. NSE Indices, formerly known as India Index Services
