MUMBAI: Jet Airways on Friday said that income tax officials are still conducting a survey at its offices
The surveys started on Wednesday.
“The company is fully co-operating with the authorities and are responding to the queries raised by the
income tax authorities,” the airline said in a statement.
“We are committed to make appropriate disclosures in accordance with
applicable regulations to avoid any speculative activities and have been regular in making the required disclosures in accordance with
Regulation 30 of the Listing Regulations of those events/information that have a bearing on the operation/performance of the company,
applying guidelines for materiality of events, where applicable,” it said.
Jet’s shares fell 6 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange and
closed at Rs 230 on Friday.
The income tax department is surveying Jet’s accounts across its offices in Mumbai and Delhi amid allegations
of money being siphoned off.
The ministry of corporate affairs had ordered an investigation of Jet Airways for allegedly siphoning off funds
after the ministry found financial irregularities and instances of funds being siphoned off in the company’s books.
