Sagar Cements, Sharda Motor Industries, Symphony, TVS Srichakra, Ujjivan Financial Services and Unitech also featured among the stocks that
touched 52-week lows
Market extended its losing streak to Monday's session as rupee's fall and rising crude oil prices weighed on sentiment. Market sentiment
remained weak in the absence of any encouraging factor and fresh weakness in the rupee, coupled with rising global crude oil prices, which
again went past the USD 79 per barrel mark, PTI reported. The NSE Nifty index was trading 76 points down at 11,068, while BSE Sensex was
down 231 points at 36,610 around 10:50 am. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 stocks in the green and 28 stocks in the red. Barring
Nifty IT and metal, all sectoral indices were in the red, with Nifty Realty falling nearly 4 per cent. Tech Mahindra, Coal India, Vedanta,
Infosys and ONGC were among the gainers in the Nifty index. Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bajaj Finance, HDFC, Mahindra Mahindra and IndusInd
Bank were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
