Maruti Suzuki Recalls 52,686 Units Of The New Swift And Baleno

INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
Maruti Suzuki has announced a recall for the new Swift and also the Baleno in India
The company has said that a total of 52,686 units have been affected
Maruti Suzuki India said that it will undertake a service campaign for new Swift and Baleno models to inspect for a possible fault in the
brake vacuum hose.The new Swift and Baleno vehicles manufactured between December 1, 2017 and March 16, 2018 are the affected lot and will
be covered under the campaign
Starting May 14 2018, owners of the vehicles included in this service campaign will be contacted by dealers for inspection and replacement
of the faulty part.Service Campaigns are undertaken globally by automobile companies to rectify faults that may potentially cause
inconvenience to customers
The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost for the customer.This is not the first time the Baleno has been recalled
It was in May 2016, that the company recalled 75,419 units of the Baleno for issue with the airbags. Out of these 75,419 Baleno's 15,995
cars are diesel variants that were manufactured between August 3, 2015 and March 22, 2016 and will also be attended to for inspection and
