Mozilla on Tuesday upgraded Firefox to version 70, enhancing its anti-tracking technology with new blockers that automatically stymie social media trackers and compiling reports so users can see what spying the browser has stopped.
Security engineers at Mozilla also included patches for 13 vulnerabilities, one marked "Critical" and three marked "High," the organization's two top threat ratings. The critical flaw was described as "memory safety bugs," a label that's present in virtually every Firefox upgrade's patch list. "Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code," Mozilla wrote in the accompanying security advisory.

Write comment (93 Comments)Five years since it turned your iPhone into a wallet, Apple now dominates the mobile payments space in the U.S. and has created a foundation of digital trust that will enable it to explore future opportunities beyond hardware.
Money, money, money
Apple Pay was first introduced in the U.S. five years ago on October 20, 2014 (I've embedded its launch video below).
It is fair to say the U.S. market wasn&t really primed for mobile payment services, which were already in use in some form in Europe and APAC. Adoption reflected this. As of January 2019, just 12% of Apple Pay users were based in the U.S., with 88% elsewhere, a report from Co-Op Financial Services claimed.

Itthe &90s, and pilot fish is an independent computer consultant who gets a call from a client who wants his AMD system to run a little faster. Fish buys the faster chip and goes to clientoffice to install it.
He powers everything down, but doesn&t unplug the power cord, because pushing a CPU into place is no big deal.
But ita stubborn little thing. Fish pushes, and pushes, and — POW! A blast of flame shoots straight up. Fish is shaken, to say the least, but physically the only damage is some scorched hair on his knuckles.
OK, maybe pushing that CPU into place was a bigger deal than fish figured on; he unplugs the PC. Then he sees what happened: The power cord was so much longer than was needed that the extra length was tucked neatly under the main system board. When fish pushed, the solder pins for the CPU socket went through the power line casing and touched one of the wires.

Word has always been the workhorse app of the Microsoft Office suite. Nearly everyone who uses Office ends up using Word at some point, whether it be for writing memos, typing up agendas, creating reports, crafting business correspondence or any of a thousand other uses.
Microsoft sells Office under two models: Individuals and businesses can pay for the software license up front and own it forever (what the company calls the &perpetual& version of the suite), or they can purchase an Office 365 subscription, which means they have access to the software for only as long as they keep paying the subscription fee.
When you purchase a perpetual version of the suite — say, Office 2016 or Office 2019 — its applications will never get new features, whereas Office 365 apps are continually updated with new features. For more details, see&What are the differences between Microsoft Office 2019 and Office 365?&
