KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration on Saturday issued a circular to all local levels, including Kathmandu Metropolitan City, to put all their efforts in search, rescue and relief operations in disaster-hit areas by maintaining coordination with the agencies concerned, volunteers and the general public.
The MoFAGA told the local levels to maintain one-door system for food, shelter and medical care for persons or households displaced and affected by floods and landslides.
&The ministry also requests the local levels to cooperate with the security agencies deployed for search and rescue works,& the circular read.
Local levels across the country have also been urged to provide the daily progress report of search, rescue and relief operations being carried out in disaster-hit areas.
&If the local levels do not have adequate budget to cater to the needs of disaster victims, they may request the ministry through the concerned district disaster management committee,& the circular read.
