KATHMANDU: The fire that engulfed the building of Subisu Cablenet Pvt Ltd this afternoon has been brought under control.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shyam Gyawali at the Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari, the blaze has been completely brought under control.
There has been no reported human casualty or injury, SSP Gyawali added.
As to the loss of property, details regarding the same are in the process of being collected.
SSP Gyawali further informed, preliminary investigation points that the fire was ignited from an electric short circuit in the area of the building where petrol was being stored, which caused the fire to take a massive form.
Firefighters in seven fire engines and security personnel from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Army doused the fire that filled the sky with black smoke which was visible from various parts of the city.
The fire occurred at around 12:45 this afternoon.
