KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday arrested a person with 15 kilograms fake silver from Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Lamsal, in-charge at Maharajgunj-based Metropolitan Police Circle, said Raj Sapkota, a permanent resident of Dhading was found possessing the fake silver during the security check.
Sapkota is the owner of Tilahari Jewellers at Imadol of Mahalaxmi Municipality-11.
The suspect was planning to sell the fake metal to someone.
He has been kept in the custody for further investigation, DSP Lamsal said.
