Showery condition to enhance over the island

Prevailing showery condition is expected to enhance to some extent over the island in next few days.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and North-western provinces.

Heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places in these areas.

Several spells of showers will occur in Anuradhapura, Jaffna and Mannar districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy falls above 50 mm are likely at some places in these areas.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning.
