Transportation of ballot boxes commences

The transportation of ballot boxes and officials to the respective polling booths commences, under special security provided by the police force.&There will be about 12,856 polling centres countrywide and about 25,712 police officers would be deployed in those.

Two police officers would be deployed at each centre.

There will be about 43 counting centres and for the security of those, about 2,193 police officers would be deployed by the Police Department, Over 1,599,296 individuals have been deemed eligible to cast their votes at the election this year.,& the Commissioner-General of the National Elections Commission said
