The Presidential Election 2019 will go down in history as the election with the least number of violent incidents, conflicts and Police complaints mainly because of the new election culture introduced by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Parliamentarian Dullas Alahapperuma said.Addressing the media at the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) office yesterday, MP Alahapperuma said that nearly seven million people cast their votes in favour of SLPP Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Rajapaksa never resorted to mudslinging at his opponents,& the MP said.
