Share market update: Realty shares advance; Sobha jumps over 3%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading higher in Thursday's morning session. Shares of Sobha (up 3.70 per cent) , Unitech (up 3.23 per cent) , Sunteck Realty (up 2.57 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (up 1.99 per cent) were the top performers in the index. Oberoi Realty (up 1.55 per cent) , Brigade Enterprises (up 0.81 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects (up 0.02 per cent) too were trading in the green.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.33 per cent up at 227.25 around 11:04 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 80.15 points at 10,731.95 while the BSE Sensex was up 349.52 points at 35,940.77.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.

Shares of ICICI Bank, YES Bank, Zee Entertainment, BEL, Axis Bank, Ashok Leyland, SBI, Indian Oil Corp and Indiabulls Housing Finance were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
