Stock market update: IT shares dip; Mindtree slips over 3%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading with losses in Tuesday's morning session. Shares of Mindtree (down 3.39 per cent), Tata Elxsi (down 2.92 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 2.71 per cent) and Infosys (down 2.26 per cent) were the top losers in the index. Oracle Financial Services Software (down 1.78 per cent), Infibeam Avenues (down 1.70 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (down 1.20 per cent) and Wipro (down 1.14 per cent) too were trading in the red.

The Nifty IT index was trading 1.73 per cent down at 15,548.05 around 10:03 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 43.85 points at 11,065.80 while the BSE Sensex was down 169.19 points at 37,412.72.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, RIL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Dish TV India, Tata Motors, BHEL, NTPC, SAIL and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
