Stock market update: Realty shares advance; Sunteck Realty climbs 4%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading with gains in Wednesday's morning session. Shares of Sunteck Realty (up 3.80 per cent) , Indiabulls Real Estate (up 2.94 per cent) , Mahindra Lifespace Developers (up 1.70 per cent) and Sobha (up 0.73 per cent) were the top performers in the index. Godrej Properties (up 0.68 per cent) , Oberoi Realty (up 0.50 per cent) and DLF (up 0.23 per cent) too were trading higher.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.72 per cent up at 264.90 around 10:20 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 63.75 points at 10,989.60 while the BSE Sensex was up 232.65 points at 37,190.81.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, HDFC Life Insurance Company, Indiabulls Housing Finance, NALCO, Coal India, SAIL, JSPL, Dish TV India and Tata Motors were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
