Stock market update: Realty shares fall; Oberoi Realty down over 2%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading lower in Wednesday's morning session. Shares of Oberoi Realty (down 2.44 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (down 2.27 per cent), Sunteck Realty (down 2.04 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.83 per cent) were trading in the red.

DLF (down 1.67 per cent), Sobha (down 0.79 per cent) and Godrej Properties (down 0.03 per cent) too were trading lower.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 1 per cent down at 266.50 around 10:16 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 83.45 points at 11,504.75 while the BSE Sensex was down 304.83 points at 38,792.31.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, ZEEL, Ashok Leyland, GMR Infra, Adani Power, SBI, IDBI Bank, Tata Motors, NCC and Dish TV India were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
