Share market update: Nifty Pharma index down; Piramal Enterprises dips 5%

NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading lower in Friday's morning session with their sectoral index trading lower. Shares of Piramal Enterprises (down 5.22 per cent) , Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (down 1.47 per cent) , Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 1.31 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma (down 0.61 per cent) were trading with losses.

Cadila Healthcare (down 0.49 per cent) , Biocon (down 0.44 per cent) , Dr.

Reddy's Laboratories (down 0.19 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories (down 0.10 per cent) too were trading lower.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.99 per cent down at 7779.90 around 09:53 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 15.05 points at 11,556.15 while the BSE Sensex was down 14.60 points at 38,975.14.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Tata Motors, NMDC, Dish TV India, GMR Infra, SBI, Vodafone Idea, SAIL, ICICI Bank and ITC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
