Share market update: Bank shares down; IndusInd Bank dips 1%

NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading in the negative zone in Friday's morning session. The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.32 per cent down at 29,906.15 around 10:08 am.

Shares of IndusInd Bank (down 1.47 per cent) , IDFC First Bank (down 1.38 per cent) , ICICI Bank (down 1.07 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (down 0.78 per cent) were the worst performers in the index. Federal Bank (down 0.69 per cent) , RBL Bank (down 0.64 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.36 per cent) too were trading with losses.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 30.90 points at 11,540.30 while the BSE Sensex was down 53.77 points at 38,935.97.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Dish TV India, Tata Motors, NMDC, GMR Infra, SBI, SAIL, Vodafone Idea, ZEEL and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
