New Delhi: Shares of private banks were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday's morning trade.
Shares of ICICI Bank (up 1.32 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 1.04 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.85 per cent) and DCB Bank (up 0.82 per cent) were among the top gainers in the index.
While YES Bank (down 9.09 per cent), RBL Bank (down 1.01 per cent), Federal Bank (down 0.65 per cent) and Axis Bank (down 0.42 per cent) were among the top losers.
The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.51 per cent up at 15,633.75 around 09:35 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 0.35 points at 11,126.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 19.6 points at 37,551.58 around the same time.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Zee Entertainment, Aurobindo Pharma, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SBI, JSPL and GMR Infra were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
