Share market update: Media shares down; DB Corp falls 3%

NEW DELHI: Media shares were trading with losses in Friday's afternoon session. Shares of DB Corp (down 2.90 per cent) , Den Networks (down 2.65 per cent) , Dish TV India (down 2.03 per cent) and Navneet Education (down 1.47 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 0.45 per cent) , Jagran Prakashan (down 0.27 per cent) , Network 18 Media - Investments (down 0.25 per cent) and TV18 Broadcast (down 0.22 per cent) too were trading in the red.

The Nifty Media index was trading 0.11 per cent up at 1714.20 around 11:57 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 3.55 points at 11,238.10 while the BSE Sensex was up 20.06 points at 37,900.46. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SBI, Tata Motors, RBL Bank, Bank of Baroda, JSPL, Ashok Leyland and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
