Share market update: Nifty Financial Services index dips; Indiabulls Housing Finance slumps 6%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index was down with its components trading lower in Friday's afternoon session. Shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 6.22 per cent), REC (down 2.82 per cent), Edelweiss Financial Services (down 2.76 per cent) and Power Finance Corporation (down 1.24 per cent) were the worst performers in the index.

Bajaj Finserv (down 0.99 per cent), Sundaram Finance (down 0.97 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance Company (down 0.93 per cent) and Bajaj Holdings - Investment (down 0.75 per cent) too were in the negative zone.

The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.11 per cent up at 12,736.30 around 12:18 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 11.25 points at 11,245.80 while the BSE Sensex was up 73.86 points at 37,954.26.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, Tata Motors, RBL Bank, Bank of Baroda, JSPL, SAIL and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
