Share market update: Auto shares mixed; Tata Motors down over 3%

NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading on a mixed note in Tuesday's morning session. The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.14 per cent down at 7953.90 around 09:47 am.

Shares of Tata Motors (down 3.58 per cent ), Motherson Sumi Systems (down 2.98 per cent ) , Ashok Leyland (down 2.06 per cent ) and Apollo Tyres (down 1.05 per cent ) were trading with losses. Hero MotoCorp (up 1.03 per cent) , Bosch (up 0.82 per cent) , Bajaj Auto (up 0.71 per cent) and Bharat Forge (up 0.68 per cent) were trading higher. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 5.25 points at 11,667.10 while the BSE Sensex was down 43.83 points at 39,254.55.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, BHEL, Vodafone Idea, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Tata Motors, SAIL, ZEEL, Ashok Leyland, NBCC and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
