Share market update: Tyre stocks gain; Oriental Carbon Chem rises 2%

NEW DELHI: Tyre stocks were trading in the green zone in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Oriental Carbon - Chem (up 1.58 per cent), Govind Rubber (up 1.54 per cent), Goodyear India (up 1.04 per cent), Goa Carbon (up 1.03 per cent), J K Tyre - Industries (up 0.91 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (up 0.66 per cent), Phillips Carbon (up 0.49 per cent), CEAT (up 0.23 per cent) and Apollo Tyres (up 0.21 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While TVS Srichakra (down 1.35 per cent) and MRF (down 0.31 per cent) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty 50 index was trading 1.20 points up at 12273, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was down 27.63 points at 41653.91 at around 12:27 pm.

Vedanta (up 2.22 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.79 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 1.36 per cent), Bajaj Finance (up 1.01 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.8 per cent), Oil - Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.68 per cent), Axis Bank (up 0.66 per cent), Larsen - Toubro (up 0.63 per cent), Tata Steel (up 0.59 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 0.56 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.45 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Sensex pack.

On the other hand, Reliance Industries (down 1.92 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.61 per cent), Bharti Airtel (down 0.52 per cent), ITC (down 0.46 per cent), Asian Paints (down 0.39 per cent), State Bank of India (down 0.31 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 0.31 per cent), Yes Bank (down 0.29 per cent), HCL Technologies (down 0.14 per cent) and HDFC (down 0.06 per cent) were trading in the red.
