NEW DELHI: Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 20 points, or 0.13 per cent, higher at 12,402.50, indicating a positive start for Dalal Street.
Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today’s trade:
Kotak Mahindra Bank: The bank is likely to report 25-30 per cent surge in net profit and a solid 4.4-4.6 per net interest margin (NIM) in December quarter.
Federal Bank, Bank of India, Just Dial: Hindustan Zinc, ICICI Securities, Federal Bank, Bank of India, Just Dial and Can Fin Homes will be other companies which will announce quarterly results today.
HDFC Bank: The private lender on Saturday posted a 32.77 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit at Rs 7,416.48 crore for the quarter ended December 2019.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 5,585.85 crore in the same period last year.
Analysts in an ETNow poll had projected net profit of Rs 7,070 crore.
Reliance Industries: The company reported a 13.5 per cent rise in quarterly net profit, buoyed by strong performance of its consumer-facing businesses and robust refining margins, which made up for a fall in income from its petrochemicals business, a major contributor to the conglomerate’s income.
TCS: Tata Consultancy Services, India’s largest software exporter, on Friday reported an in-line 0.20 per cent year-on-year rise in December quarter profit on the back of a single-digit rise in revenues from a year ago.
Piramal Enterprises: Ajay Piramal-led Piramal Enterprises’ Rs 3,650-crore rights issue will have to do all the heavy lifting in the final two days, with the offering subscribed less than 10 per cent until Friday.
Lupin: Drug firm Lupin said it has received five observations from the US health regulator after inspection of its Vizag facility in Andhra Pradesh
HCL Tech: The IT services firm is betting on strong demand across sectors, including manufacturing and retail, to continue its growth momentum in the coming quarters.
The company, which posted 15.5 per cent rise in revenue in the December quarter, is also seeing strong growth in the European and US markets.
YES Bank: Citing continued uncertainty with regards to YES Bank's capital raising plan, Moody's Investors Service placed the bank's long-term foreign currency issuer rating of B2 under review.
Bharti Airtel: Telecom major Airtel announced Rs 179 prepaid bundle that packs in a term life cover of Rs 2 lakh from Bharti AXA Life Insurance.
DLF: The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has directed leading real estate player DLF Ltd to register transfer of 60,000 shares to the legal heirs of one of its deceased shareholders and has imposed a cost of Rs 5 lakh for "harassing the poor investors".
