Share market update: Consumer Durables shares trade mixed; VIP Industries slumps 8%

NEW DELHI: Consumer Durables shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's session.

Shares of Titan Company Ltd (up​ 3.84 per cent)​, Whirlpool of India (up​ 3.57 per cent)​ and Voltas (up​ 0.99 per cent)​ were among the top gainers.

While VIP Industries (down​ 8.43 per cent)​, Rajesh Exports (down​ 5.59 per cent)​, Symphony (down​ 5.59 per cent)​, PC Jeweller (down​ 2.97 per cent)​, Blue Star (down​ -2.89 per cent)​, CROMPTON (down​ 2.81 per cent)​ and TTK Prestige (down​ 1.53 per cent)​ were the top losers in the index.

The S-P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 1.03 per cent up at 23454.42 around 11:10 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 38.25 points at 9628.4 , while the BSE Sensex was up 156.08 points at 32934.22 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, Bank of Baroda, IDFC First Bank Ltd., ONGC, HDFC Bank, SAIL and RIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
