NEW DELHI: As many as 188 stocks, including Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar, GOCL Corporation, Grasim Industries, Indiabulls Integrated Services, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, JK Cement and Kajaria Ceramics hit 52-week lows on NSE on Tuesday.
Equity market benchmarks Nifty and Sensex finished Tuesday's session in the positive territory, backed by gains in pharma, IT, auto and oil gas stocks even as global cues remained mixed.
The BSE Sensex closed the day at 35,379, up by 114 points, or 0.32 per cent, with 18 stocks advancing and 13 declining in trade.
The Nifty50 clocked a gain of 43 point, or 0.40 per cent, settling at 10,700, with 32 stocks in the green, 17 in the red and one stock unchanged.
Barring Nifty Bank, financial services, metal, PSU bank and private bank indices, all sectoral indices closed the day with gains on NSE.
Nifty PSU Bank, falling 0.78 per cent, emerged as the top loser among the sectoral indices.
All components in the PSU bank index closed the day in the red, with IDBI Bank cracking 6.34 per cent.
Vedanta, Bharti Infratel, ICICI Bank and HDFC stood as the top losers in the Nifty index.
