NEW DELHI: Tata Steel (Rs 633.90 crore) led the pack of most active stocks in terms of value on NSE on Tuesday.
Tata Consultancy Services (Rs 607.00 crore) and Infosys (Rs 547.41 crore) were up next in the league.
Reliance Industries (Rs 492.58 crore), Just Dial (Rs 447.05 crore), State Bank of India (Rs 415.45 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 384.86 crore), Vedanta (Rs 367.63 crore), DHFL (Rs 364.67 crore) and HDFC Bank (Rs 355.73 crore) also featured among the most active stocks in terms of value, in that order.
Equity market benchmarks Nifty and Sensex finished Tuesday's session in the positive territory, backed by gains in pharma, IT, auto and oil gas stocks even as global cues remained mixed.
The BSE Sensex closed the day at 35,379, up by 114 points, or 0.32 per cent, with 18 stocks advancing and 13 declining in trade.
The Nifty50 clocked a gain of 43 point, or 0.40 per cent, settling at 10,700, with 32 stocks in the green, 17 in the red and one stock unchanged.
Barring Nifty Bank, financial services, metal, PSU bank and private bank indices, all sectoral indices closed the day with gains on NSE.
With a gain of 2.10 per cent, Nifty Pharma stood as the top gainer among the sectoral indices on NSE.
All components of the index closed the day with gains, with Aurobindo Pharma (up 4.35 per cent) leading the pack.
Cipla, Bajaj Finserv, Maruti Suzuki India, Lupin and Sun Pharma led the pack of Nifty gainers.
