NEW DELHI: As many as 45 stocks, including Hindustan Unilever, Britannia Industries, ITC and Infosys hit 52-week highs on NSE on Friday.
Sun Pharma, Pfizer, RITES, Mahindra Mahindra, Dr.
Lal Path Labs, Berger Paints, Bata India and 3M India also featured among the stocks that touched 52-week highs on NSE on Friday.
After Thursday's losses, domestic equity market registered an impressive rebound on Friday, in the wake of improved global cues after China said it would hold talks with the US later this month on spiraling trade dispute.
Healthy buying in bank, metal and FMCG stocks amid sustained capital inflow lifted market higher.
The NSE Nifty scaled record closing high of 11,470.75, surging 85.70 points or 0.75 per cent.
Sensex soared 284.32 points, or 0.75 per cent, to settle at 37,947.88.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended the day in the green and 15 in the red.
The Sensex pack witnessed 21 stocks settling in positive zone and 10 losing out.
All sectoral indices on NSE settled in the green.
The Nifty PSU Bank index, surging 3 per cent, led among sectoral indices on NSE.
Bank of India (up 5.57 per cent), Canara Bank (up 3.70 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 3.25 per cent) stood as the top gainers in the Nifty PSU Bank index.
Grasim Industries, YES Bank and Lupin led among Nifty scrips on Friday.
