Share market update: Realty shares mixed; DLF rises nearly 2%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading mixed with the Nifty Realty index up 0.44 per cent up at 227.25 on Wednesday. Shares of DLF (up 1.86 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 1.71 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 0.57 per cent) and Godrej Properties (up 0.54 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Unitech (down 2.22 per cent), Sunteck Realty (down 2 per cent), Sobha (down 1.52 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises (down 0.60 per cent) were the top laggards in the index. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 84 points at 10,572.2 while BSE Sensex was 340.32 points at 35,134.19 around 11:43 am.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Idea Cellular, Indian Oil Corp, HPCL, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Vedanta, Infosys, Hindalco Industries and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
