NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index was down with its components trading lower in Friday's afternoon session.
Shares of HDFC LIFE INSURANCE (up 4.79 per cent), Power Finance Corporation (up 4.7 per cent), HDFC (up 4.34 per cent), State Bank of India (up 1.72 per cent), Bajaj Finance (up 0.83 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.3 per cent), Edelweiss Financial Services (up 0.16 per cent) and ICICIGI (up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Shriram Transport Finance (down 10.71 per cent), Mahindra - Mahindra Financial (down 6.51 per cent), Cholamandalam Investment - Finance (down 6.46 per cent), Bajaj Holdings - Investment (down 6.2 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (down 4.95 per cent), ICICIPRULI (down 4.09 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 2.33 per cent), Axis Bank (down 2.32 per cent), REC (down 1.34 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.43 per cent), Bajaj Finserv (down 0.37 per cent) and SBI Life (down 0.17 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.15 per cent up at 11472.5 around 11:45 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 94 points at 9496.15 , while the BSE Sensex was down 347.73 points at 32,430.41.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, Tata Motors, GMR Infra, SAIL, IDFC First Bank Ltd., ITC, ICICI Bank and ONGC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
