Of all places, Jitpursimara Sub-metropolitan City has seen the rise of election fever in the recent days.
After finishing their town convention, CPN-UML, Nepali Congress and CPN-Maoist Centre have started their election preparations.Amidst the scorching sun and increasing temperature, aspirants for election tickets have intensified their lobbying by meeting leaders of the district, province and central levels.Major ruling coalition partner Congress has protested against the preparation of the ruling coalition to field a CPN- MC candidate for the mayoral post and formally declared that they wouldn't accept any alliance in the local level.NC sitting Jitpursimara Town President Chhabilal Sharma, former Town President Shyambabu Gupta, former Constituent Assembly member Shobhakar Parajuli, among others, are reportedly eager to fight for the mayoral post.Similarly, there is also a long list of aspirants for the ticket for the mayor seat in CPN- UML in the local level.Current deputy mayor Saraswori Chaudhary, former UML district chairperson Dev Narayan Chaudhary, and leader Narayan Chhetri are the main aspirants for the mayoral position.
Besides, youth leaders Manoj Poudel and other leaders are also looking forward to secure the ticket for the post.A number of aspirants are looking to secure the ticket for the vital post in the local level in another party, CPN- MC as well.
